Double V-Stitch Baby Blanket–Crochet Pattern
Skill Level: Easy
Materials: 6mm & 5mm hook, 150g Green dk yarn.
Notes: The double V-Stitch pattern can be used for various patterns and items scarves, cowls, shawls etc.
Measurements: 29.5” x 29.5”
Pattern:
Begin using 6mm hook and chain 91 sts. (15 multiples of 6 +1)
Change to 5mm hook.
Row 1: Now turning work a row of sc all across the chain. This foundation row is optional but I think makes the work neater.
Row 2: Ch 3 to count as first dc, sk 3 sts, *work 2 dc, ch 2, work 2 dc into same st, sk 5sts*, ** repeat to final 3 sts and work a dc in final st.
Row 3: Ch 3, *work 2 dc, ch 2, work 2 dc into previous V stitch sp*, repeat to final 3 sts and work a dc in final st.
Row 4: Repeat row 3 until desired length is reached or in this case 38 rows.
Here you can fasten off or create a border. I edged the blanket using green yarn and the basic double ‘v-stitch’. I then bordered it in pink and the final round was green sc.
