Cathedral Window Crochet Motif
This motif could be used in many different ways such as a shawl, cushions or a scarf. Despite being highly decorative it’s really quite simple to make.
Use appropriate yarn and hook for your project.
Pattern:
Make 10 ch and join with a sl st to form a circle.
Rnd 1: ch 3, work 24 tr into the ring join with sl st
Rnd 2: ch 3, 1 tr into same st as sl st, *ch 2, sk next st, work 2 tr into next st*. **rep to end, join with sl st
Rnd 3: ch 3, 2 tr into same st as sl st, *ch 3, sk next space, work 3 tr in space between first 2tr*, **rep to end, join with sl st
Rnd 4: ch 3, work 3 tr into same st as al st, *ch 4, sk next space, work 4tr in space between first & second tr*, **rep to end, join with sl st
Rnd 5: ch 3, work 4 tr into same sp as sl st, * ch 5, skip next sp, work 5 tr in space between first & second tr*, **rep to end, join with sl st
Break off yarn motif is now complete.
