Hi from the US. I was searching on instructions how to increase with the Griddle stitch when Google results brought me here. Very nice blog, love the stitches you've posted and I'm bookmarking.
I'm pretty stuck working a pattern with this stitch that says to *increase 1 stitch at beginning and end of the row* and I can't figure this out. If the Griddle is to always work a sc into each dc and vice versa (or dc into each tc in UK terms) how can I increase and maintain the pattern? My pattern rows have even stitches always starting w/ a sc and ending w/ a dc. So the 1st increase row would go: sc and dc in 1st dc, sc in 1st sc, dc in next dc, etc. And if I try it as 2 sc in the 1st dc and finish the row w/ 2 dc in the last sc then, after turning, the stitching is 2 sc in the first dc of the 2-dc inc and then a dc in the 2nd dc of the inc setting up the same off-pattern as before. So what's the inc structure to maintain the pattern?? I'm just not getting it and the instrux in the pattern are just to inc, without explanation of how.
Do you know how to do this or have further instructions for the stitch?
