Betty Vintage Retro Style Traditional Granny Square Blanket
It’s great when you start the week following a weekend that saw the completion of a project. Here’s mine ‘Betty’. Betty is quite unique, in that, I only crochet with black yarn once a year when the light is really bright. This time I think I may have misjudged the situation as it has been overcast, damp, rainy, grey and plain horrible recently.
It’s very traditional and timeless, but they do say the old one’s are the best one’s.
As with most of my blankets you can find Betty in both me etsy store here or my folksy store here.
The fun part - arranging and laying out the granny squares. It’s very traditional and timeless, but they do say the old one’s are the best one’s.

Hats Outrageous – Lisa Hafey
Buttons £2.00
Frustrated artist, jobbing craftster. Ex-pat Aussie living in London. Currently raising money through selling my crafts to fund my daughter's costs to attend the 22nd World Scouting Jamboree in Sweden next year! I'm called "Hats Outrageous!" because I needed a name for a stall I did at my kids' primary school summer fair last year; I was known around the school for making crochet hats (beanies and the like), so Hats Outrageous! it was! Of course, I don't just do hats...I love crochet, lots of it. I'm working on bags at the moment made from recycled/upcycled t-shirt yarn; they're totes or shoulder bags (or whatever) - in lairy colours or sedate; I've had some good feedback about them, so I think I"m on the right track... I'm also quite obsessed with buttons, and I've listed a few of my lovelies that I'm prepared to part with...sniff! I like to sew, I like to knit, I like to do...ooh. whatever - as I said, frustrated artist. About a thousand years ago I attended art school (but didn't finish because I was young and cool and rebellious (right!) and didn't want to do what I was supposed to...), but then I left and got a job and settled down and got married and had kids...art went by the wayside...now I'm getting back into it...in a huge way. I teach crochet in 5 week blocks during term time, one night a week, 2 hours a session. We had an absolute blast last term, and I'm hoping some of my "old" class will return for the new term...we'll see!

NOfkants Curios
Girls Sweet Floral Chenille Bag £12.00
I'm a working Mum, with lovely children and fabulous Hubby. I have had a passion since childhood for fossils and gemstones & have been collecting for many years. As a family we go on fossil hunting expeditions, but there is only so much you can keep for yourself, so crafting with fossil is a real treat! I enjoy knitting and working with yarn and wool, making items from simple scarves through to hand made handbags. Inspiration often taken from nature, or by the look of how differing yarns, wool and other products work together. Each of these items will be unique and guaranteed hand made. I also have a passion for vintage buttons and hope to create unique jewellery and crafted items from them.
