A Blanket For Life

196-9693_IMG
Despite it being a warm and positively balmy evening on Friday one of my little peeps decided  he absolutely must drag a blanket outside to cover himself. Never one to miss an opportunity for getting a photo of a blanket I managed to snap a few.

As I was snapping away it occurred to me that this blanket has been subject to no end of abuse from my little peeps over the years in fact this blanket is now 19 years old. I think it has held up incredibly well and goes to show how blankets, at our house anyway, become part of the family.

Over the course of the weekend I finally managed to get the pure wool yellow blanket completed to. It is now available in my Etsy store click here.

Your family blanket is just gorgeous, more for the fact that it is so loved than anything else. I hope some of my crochet stands the test of time and lots of loving! Hugs Debs xx

Those Afghans are beautiful. What nice family heirlooms.

Don't be too jealous over the weather - it's nice to look at, but going outside in it has its drawbacks (at least with me) ... I've developed breathing problems since living in this extreme humidity 95% + and the mosquitoes and other strange stinging insects LOVE me so that I rarely get to be outside in the summer - and summer lasts from May to October - it does get stifling and suffocating at times...I'd rather be in the cold than this!
