A colorful crocheted coverlet is pieced together from swirled hexagons worked in coordinating shades.

5 Hanks Berroco Weekend DK (100 grs), # 2976 Dark Denim, 6 hanks #2964 Curry, 5 hanks #2957 Grape, 3 hanks #2971 Squash and 3 hanks # 2965 Terra Cotta

Crochet hook, size 4.00 mm (F) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Each hexagon should measure approximately 8” across

Hexagon

With crochet hook, ch 4.  Join with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 2, (yo, draw up a loop in ring, yo and draw through 2 loops) twice, yo and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made); * ch 2, (yo, draw up a loop in ring, yo and draw through 2 loops) 3 times, yo and draw through all loops on hook.  Rep from * 4 times more, join with a sl st in top of first cluster – 6 clusters.  Mark beg of rnd with a pin and move marker up as you work.  You will be working in a spiral where rnds are not joined (except on last rnd)

Rnd 2:  * Ch 4, 1 sc in top of next cluster, rep from * around, join with a sl st in top of first cluster – 6 ch-4 spaces.

Rnd 3:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in next sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 4:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 5: * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 6:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 4 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 7:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 8:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 6 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 9:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 7 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 10:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 8 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 11:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 9 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 15:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 13 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 16: * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 14 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 17:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 15 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 18: * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 16 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.

Rnd 19:  * Ch 4, 2 sc in next ch-4 space, 1 sc in each of the next 17 sc’s, skip 1 sc, rep from * 5 times more.  Join with a sl st in next ch-4 space.  Fasten off.

Bed Cover

Make 18 Dark Denim hexagons, 21 Curry hexagons, 16 Grape hexagons, 11 Squash hexagons and 11 Terra Cotta hexagons. Sew all hexagons tog as shown on diagram.
