For 85 years, the BBC and St Martin-in-the-Fields have asked listeners at Christmas time to help people in poverty in all parts of the United Kingdom.

Today, the Appeal supports the work of The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields, which provides vital services to thousands of homeless people every year, and the Vicar’s Relief Fund, which makes over 2000 crisis grants each year to people in extreme financial difficulty.

We raise money throughout the year. In these difficult times more people than ever are coming to us for help. You can support the Appeal by donating online, by post or over the phone (see below for details). Your donation is greatly appreciated as we know it really will change people’s lives.

If you prefer to donate by cheque, please make your cheque payable to the “St Martin-in-the-Fields Christmas Appeal” and post it to us at Trafalgar Square, London WC2N 4JJ. If you are a UK taxpayer and would like the Christmas Appeal to reclaim the tax you have paid on your donation through the Gift Aid scheme, you can download our Gift Aid declaration. Just print it, fill it in and send it to us with your cheque.

If you are a regular supporter of the Christmas Appeal – or you would like to be – you may want to consider setting up a standing order. You can download a Standing Order Form by clicking here.

We have teamed up with Bmycharity, an online sponsorship website to make it easier for our supporters to help to raise money for the Christmas Appeal. Whether you want to sing carols, sleep out or do a skydive, you can get your friends and family to sponsor you. Bmycharity don’t charge commission or a monthly subscription fee, so even more of the money raised goes to people in need. Click on the link to set up your own sponsorship page for the Christmas Appeal.
