As many of you will be aware it’s International Crochet Day on Sunday, so I was wondering what everyone was doing to celebrate or promote crochet.
I will no doubt be eating, sleeping and breathing crochet. I will be blogging, pattern writing, and even crocheting. Why not pop along to the International Freeform Crochet group and have a look at this years exhibition.
Click here to view the online exhibition.
I will probably be making and hanging more ribbons on The Crochet Clootie Tree.

Anyway let me know what you all are doing are you busy crafting for Christmas yet? Leave me a comment and let me know what your working on. If you are a fellow blogger then please do blog about International Crochet Day 2010 and spread the word.

Now you have informed me of this I will be relaxing and crocheting a little something... I have numerous WIPS to finish up and I am definitely making for Christmas already... last year I ran out of time so this year I want everything done by the beginning of December so that I can enjoy the Christmas month and feel less frazzled... (fingers crossed! lol) I have started crocheting poppy brooches for Remembrance Sunday, I am hoping to have a dozen or so that I can leave in the village shop for people to buy in aid of the cause...

Oooh! That's an incentive to add a new pattern to Ravelry... And I've been thinking of entering the Crochet Me Ami pattern calendar thingy, so I could get on with writing something up too. Thanks for linking to the Freeform Exhibition - how incredibly inspiring.
Hi Alex,
It sounds as if you've got it all under control :-) I'm thinking of telling my kids that International Crochet Day is like a 2nd Mother's day for Mum's who crochet. Maybe I'll get peace, quiet, relaxation and crochet time :-)
Somehow I don't think they'll believe me.
I did not know tht there was an Internation Crochet Day!!!! Thanks for letting me know!! I agree wtih the lady who is going to tell her family that it is a 2nd Mother's Day. It is also Grandparent's Day, so I get a double day. Hmmmm, I could start dropping hints for "International Crochet Day" gifts. There is a lovely silk bamboo yarn I want to use for a shawl....there is a set of ergonomic hooks with the handle and interchangeable hooks, not to mention the hooks that light up, oh I could make a very long list. I will settle for a day of peace and quite so I can just crochet!!!! = D
