I’ve had so many requests to write up a pattern for a heart rag rug I’ve finally got around to doing it. This is just one pattern and quite often I just make heart rugs in a freeform style.

Granny Square Rag Rug Pattern

206-0682_IMG
I recently came up with the idea or notion of producing a granny square rag rug it’s something I haven’t seen anywhere else and naturally wondered why. I wasn’t sure it would work due to the nature of rag rugs but I’ve done it and I love it.
It’s shabby, it’s chic, it’s vintage, it’s retro, it’s folksy, it’s granny and it’s crochet. What more could we want?

So if you fancy having a go at making one you can get the pattern on Etsy or Ravelry.

International Crochet Day 2010 – Scarf, Shawl, Kerchief Pattern.

Happy International Crochet Day, 2010. To celebrate I thought I’d create a pattern for crocheter’s around the world. This is a quick and easy project which you can scale up for a big shawl or scale down for a head scarf. Wear it any which way you like, enjoy :-)
Skill Level: – Easy
Materials: - 5.5mm crochet hook, 50g Colinette Jitterbug, Fire
Pattern:
Ch 90  + 1 (to count as first sc)
Row 1: sc into 1st ch and all ch across to end.
Row 2:  *ch 7, sc into 5th st*,** repeat to end of
row, turn.
Rows 3 and all subsequent Rows: *ch 7, sc into 4th ch in the loop*, ** rep to end.
Continue working in this manner decreasing 1 set of 7 ch at the end of each row until only one 7 ch loop remains. Break off yarn and darn all ends in.
This pattern is offered and made available for personal use only. If you wish to reproduce this in any way please contact me or make sure that reference is made to the original author’s blog http://www.thesunroomuk.blogspot.com/ Thank you
