The blanket is a real treasure and measures approx. 50" x 50" square. Ideal for bed,sofa, caravan or camping etc.
Would make a fabulous gift and has a lovely heirloom quality which would be a valued addition to any household. Made using good quality DK acrylic yarn so that it can be machine wash and dried flat or tumble dry on a low heat.

Serendipity Crochet Granny Square Blanket

Photographs of my newest creation, I do have to say I love the colours. I’d recently had a customer who wasn’t wholly clear on the colour scheme for her blanket. I decided to make up a sample incorporating some of the colours she wanted. Ultimately she decided she wanted a purple and grey ripple blanket. I decided to continue with these colours I had put together and ended up with ‘Serendipity’.

Retro Neon Crochet Pillow Cushion Cover Pattern

Skill Level:            Easy
Materials:             5.5mm hook, tapestry needle, 200g assorted DK yarn – black, green, pink, orange, purple & blue

Notes:   Two sided cushion cover for a 16”  square cushion insert.

Measurements:     17” x 17”

Pattern – Front.

Using black yarn, ch 4 join with a slip st to form ring.

Rnd 1: ch 2 work 11 dc into centre ring, join with sl st and fasten off yarn.

Rnd 2: Join orange yarn in sp between the dc’s, ch 2, work 1 dc into same sp, work 2 dc into each space to end, join with sl st and fasten off yarn.

Rnd 3: Join green yarn in any space between the double dc’s, ch 2 work 2 dc into same space, work 3 dc into each sp around the circle and join with a slip st, fasten off yarn.

Rnd 4: Join pink yarn in any space between the double dc’s, ch 2 work 3 dc into same space, work 4 dc into each sp around the circle and join with a slip st, fasten off yarn.

Rnd 5: Join purple yarn in any space between the quadruple dc’s, in any space between the double dc’s, ch 2 work 4 dc into same space, work 5 dc into each sp around the circle and join with a sl st, fasten off yarn.

Rnd 6: Join black yarn in any space between the 5dc clusters, ch 2, work 2 dc into same sp, *work 3 dc into centre dc in cluster, work 3 dc into next space between 5 dc’s*, repeat a further two times, ch 3 and work another triple dc into same space (to create corner). *Work 7 triple dc’s along next edge to next corner, ch 3 and work another triple dc into same space*, **rep to end until a full round has been completed, join with a sl st, fasten off yarn.

Rnd 7: work as rnd 6 in purple, increasing 1 triple dc cluster each side of the square.

Rnd 8: work as rnd 6 in black, increasing 1 triple dc cluster each side of the square.

Rnd 9: work as rnd 6 in pink, increasing 1 triple dc cluster each side of the square.

Rnd 10: work as rnd 6 in black, increasing 1 triple dc cluster each side of the square.

Rnd 11: work as rnd 6 in green, increasing 1 triple dc cluster each side of the square.

Rnd 12: work as rnd 6 in black, increasing 1 triple dc cluster each side of the square.

Rnd 13: work as rnd 6 in orange, increasing 1 triple dc cluster each side of the square.

Rnd 14: work as rnd 6 in black, increasing 1 triple dc cluster each side of the square.

work 43 rows of HDC in following colour sequence.

Blue x 2, Pink x 3, Orange x1, Purple x1, green x3, Pink x 1, Blue x3, Pink x2, Green x1, Orange x1, Green x1, Pink x2, Purple x2, Green x2, Blue x2, Pink x1, Orange x1, Purple x1, Green x1, Blue x1, Orange x2, Pinkx3, purple x2, pink x1, orange x1, green x2.

To Finish:

Darn all ends in. Sew or crochet (sc) front and back together on 3 sides. Insert cushion and make ties to shut to 4th edge.

Purple-ish Granny Stripes Blanket

Here’s a granny stripe blanket just completed and dispatched. The customer specified the colours and I think they work well together. I’m really pleased with the edging too.

Here are a couple of photographs of a huge granny square blanket I completed earlier this week for a customer. Unfortunately the light levels weren’t great and so the photos do not do the actual colours full justice. The colours included; mustard, grey, lime, ivory, plum, raspberry & navy.

Unisex Stripes Crochet Scarf

Unisex Campus Scarf Crochet Pattern

Materials: 6.5mm hook, 150g various colours of DK yarn. I used 7 different colours –pale green, apple green, pale blue, bright blue, turquoise, red & orange.
Measurements: 7” x 74” approx.

Skill Level: easy

Pattern:
Chain 175 sts or to desired length.
Work 24 rows changing colour for every row. All rows ch 1 and work sc into all sts to end, turn, change colour and repeat.

This reminds me of a rug rather than an afghan or blanket, but it’s great none the less.

Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED, Article W 11 or W 15 or W 41 or W 42
31 ozs. Black and 50 ozs. of Assorted Colors.

Each motif measures about 4 inches.
176 motifs 11 x 16 are required for afghan.
Plastic crochet hook No. 4 or F.

With any Color—Ch 4, join to form a ring, ch 3 (counts as 1 d c in each row) and work 2 d c in ring, * ch 1, 3 d c in ring, repeat from * twice, ch 1, join in 3rd st of ch, cut yarn.
2nd Row—Attach next Color in ch 1 loop, ch 3, 2 d c in same loop, ch 1, 3 d c in same loop, * 3 d c, ch 1, 3 d c in next loop, repeat from * twice, join in 3rd st of ch, cut yarn.
